The work I created in 2014 served as my way of finally coping with the untimely death of my friend and fellow artist Jason Harper. Each piece, including paintings and drawings, has elements that harken to Jason’s love for nature and the unexpected that transcends across his body of work.

Thursday in particular is nostalgic of his fascination with tree branches, as I recall all the times that I would come to visit him during college only to find him hoarding branches to study and recreate in clay.
