After I had moved into video and photography during art school, I felt like I was leaving behind the media and skills that carried me into being an artist in the first place, specifically in graphite drawing. My relationship between these two areas was strained, as I felt like I had to choose one over the other.

By using collage of my own photos with found images and elements that served as symbols to my psyche, I designed new compositions to create through drawing, to bring my worlds together, to transcend personal reality to dreamlike states.
