Since 2015, I have collaborated with fellow art teachers to write a grant that would initiate and fund the District Student Art Show to annually showcase artwork from students in grades K-12. I have coordinated many of the working parts, and upon my transfer from elementary to secondary, I moved the event from the community center to the high school. The event has proven to be a success, and after a two year pandemic hiatus, I hope it will continue to grow.
