In April 2019, this used bookstore in Manhattan, KS reopened and rebranded itself as the Co-op at the Dusty Bookshelf after two long years following a devastating fire. This store is near and dear to my heart as my best friend had worked there since we were in college, and she had invested so much time and energy into sharing her love of literature with her coworkers and the community. I was glad to come experience the grand reopening event, and see how incredibly happy both staff and customers were to be home again, in this amazing space still filling up with books and love.
